I really enjoyed System Shock and Deus Ex but you seem to not like these more retro games so perhaps its just a matter of taste/opinion.But please god someone hide this topic from FatShodan.i can imagine some seriously long post from him over this lol I guess these type of games just aren't for me. And to answer your enquiry, I had very similar issues with Deus Ex. ::edit:: I'm referring to SS2-I've never tried the first game. The other two times I was alternately too bored and too scared to get into it. Twice with another person-that never lasted more than 30 minutes because neither of us had the patience to stick with each other. I tried playing it like 4 times 'cause people praise it so much. Well it's all personal taste but you will find that MANY people will strongly disagree with your post.Edit: Dues Ex is a great game, but if you are as picky as you seem only get the game if you enjoy conspiracy theories. Also, I think the graphics were poor, the weapons were lame, and the whole game was silly.Now, I don't know if I missed something, but Jagged Alliance 1 and Crusader:No Remorse were way better. The only bit I can remember is the opening scene where they arrest the player for hacking. Well, I didn't see any story (though I admit I stopped playing 10 hours into the game). First of all, people were praising the story. OK, the amount of praise I see this old turd of a game (imo) receiving is getting at me, so I'll just say this: System Shock was boooooooooring.
